Area inmates denied parole

TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — OKLAHOMA CITY – Several area inmates were denied parole last week by the state’s Pardon and Parole Board.

Among those denied an early release was Jason L. Baldridge, who has been serving a term at Jess Dunn Correctional Center in Taft since March 2008. Baldridge is imprisoned for cultivation of marijuana, manufacturing a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug.

Marcus Ryan Soap was also denied parole. He is serving a sentence on Adair County convictions for possession of controlled drug, throwing objects at a moving vehicle, burglary and escape from jail.

Sequoyah County had three inmates on the list. Billy Jack Brooks was passed. He is charged with bringing contraband into a jail, manufacturing a controlled drug and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Clayton Matthew Edwards was denied for attempted kidnapping and possession of controlled drug. Bobby D.
