TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — A Tahlequah woman charged with stealing more than $200,000 from Cornerstone Home Health over a four-year period waived her right to a preliminary hearing this week.
Ronda Crow, who allegedly took the money between 2004 and 2008, is charged with a single count of embezzlement. Authorities say she wrote 126 checks on the Cornerstone account for her own benefit.
Crow’s district court arraignment is scheduled for May 4 before Associate District Judge Mark Dobbins.
Her appearance bond has been set at $37,500, reduced from the original $75,000 on the condition that Crow stays away from casinos.
Crow has a previous embezzlement conviction filed in 1994, which alleged she took money from Tahlequah Mill and Elevator. The previous conviction may be used to enhance punishment on the new case.
Cornerstone filed a civil action against Crow Sept. 9, seeking recovery of civil damages from her as a result of the alleged embezzlement.
Crow is represented by Donn Baker. Assistant District Attorney Josh King represented the state at the preliminary hearing waiver.
