TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — OKLAHOMA CITY – Cherokee County’s jobless rate jumped to 4 percent in October, a report provided by the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission states.
The report shows the county with a 4 percent rate, compared to a 3.4 percent mark in September and 3.8 percent in August. The rate was 4.1 percent a year ago.
Adair County’s rate rose to 5 percent for October, compared with 4.4 percent in September and 5.2 percent for August. That rate was 4.9 percent in October 2007.
Delaware County’s October 2008 rate was 4.7 percent, compared with 3.9 percent in September and 4.2 percent in August. The rate was 4.9 percent in October.
