TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — A story in the Tuesday Daily Press reported that Robert L. Finch was arrested with three other people after a high-speed pursuit with Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies. Reports of the incident state Finch was allegedly in the vehicle, but he ran from the scene and was not actually apprehended. A warrant was issued for his arrest Thursday for charges stemming from the incident.

A story in last Sunday’s edition of the Press reported Stephen Fabian was seeking to withdraw as the attorney representing Jacob Wayne Goodwin, based on online court records. A check of the actual records shows the application to withdraw was filed by Melissa Schmidt, who represented Goodwin in a related civil case. The application was incorrectly filed in Goodwin’s case by whomever entered the records online. Fabian represents Goodwin in a criminal case and is not withdrawing as Goodwin’s attorney.
