TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — GROVE -- A Grove man was listed in fair condition Friday in a Joplin, Mo. hospital after being involved in a crash south of the city on U.S. Highway 59.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports state Troy W. Keller, 39, was initially taken to Integris Grove Hospital by emergency medical service personnel. He was then flown by Eagle Med to Freeman Hospital in Joplin where he was admitted for treatment of head, arm, leg, trunk external and trunk internal injuries. Keller was pinned in his 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup for 10 minutes.
A passenger, Kim S. Keller, was treated for arm injuries and released from Integris Grove Hospital.
The Kellers were driving north on U.S. 59 when a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Tommy L. Matlock, 26, attempted to turn left onto a county road five miles south of Grove.
Matlock was driving south and struck the Keller vehicle in the front driver’s side.
All involved were wearing seat belts and air bags deployed in the vehicles.
The crash was reported at 4:48 p.m. and investigated by OHP Trooper Eric Gibe.
