Three area residents arrested on drug, firearms charges
TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — STILWELL – Three Adair County residents were arrested Friday on drug and firearm charges when law enforcement personnel served a search warrant on a residence.
Steven McNac, 48, Tim McNac, 37, and Lasha Newman, 21, were arrested after District 27 drug task force agents and Adair County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant on a house near Stilwell Friday morning.
Deputies found a scanner that was scanning local police frequencies at the time the warrant was served.
Firearms were also found, as were substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana.
A green, leafy marijuana plant was also found during the search.
All three individuals were booked into the Adair County Jail on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a police radio in the commission of a felony and possession of paraphernalia.
The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of controlled drugs in Adair County.
Bonds had not been set on the McNacs and Newman Friday afternoon.
