TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — HULBERT – Lake Region Electric Cooperative members will be voting on trustees and by-laws Saturday, April 26 when the cooperative hosts its annual meeting.
Bobby Mayfield, Lynn Lamons and Beverly Manasco are the candidates for trustee. Mayfield and Lamons are incumbents. Cooperative members will be asked to vote for two of the three candidates.
The proposed bylaw changes deal with the bylaws concerning term limits for members of the LREC board.
Members attending the meeting will be eligible for cash drawings and several other prizes. The grand prize is $1,000 in cash and there will also be drawings for $500 and $250. Members will also be able to receive a free health screen and a meal provided by area firefighters.
The co-op’s 59th Annual Membership meeting will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hulbert High School Auditorium.
Each member will receive a cap or compact fluorescent bulb.
Entertainment will be provided by the Kuntry Kuzzins Square Dance Club and the Wild Card Band.
