TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — WESTVILLE -- A $3,000 bond posted by a Westville man charged with burglarizing a local pharmacy has been forfeited and a warrant issued for the man's arrest.
Authorities allege Justin Michael Wolf, 22, failed to appear at a Jan. 23 arraignment before Associate District Judge Elizabeth Brown.
Wolf is charged with second-degree burglary for a Jan. 3 break-in at Westville Prescription Center. He allegedly broke a back door handle and lock with the intent to steal prescription medication, including Hydrocodone, Bitartrate and Acetaminophen.
Court documents show Wolf appeared before Brown Jan. 16 for an arraignment. Assistant District Attorney Shannon Otteson asked for a new arraignment date because charges had not been filed against Wolf, due to the need for further investigation.
Brown allowed Wolf, who appeared without an attorney at the arraignment, to remain free on the bond he posted Jan. 4. She ordered Wolf to appear a week later.
Otteson and Assistant District Attorney Lawrence Langley appeared at the Jan. 23 arraignment and Wolf's name was called three times in court and he failed to appear.
The Westville Prescription Center is approximately a block from the Westville Police Department.
