TAHLEQUAH —
Cherokee County prosecutors have charged a Tahlequah couple with felony child abuse.
Aaron William Lingbeck, 38, is accused of child sexual abuse, while his wife, Tina Carroll Lingbeck, 34, is accused of child abuse by injury and enabling child sexual abuse.
Court documents allege Aaron Lingbeck touched a 14-year-old girl between October 2011 and October 2012 in a “lewd and lascivious manner.”
Tina Lingbeck is accused of permitting her husband to touch the girl inappropriately, and is also accused of striking the girl on the face on Oct. 28, 2012, causing the teenager’s nose to bleed.
Both were arrested on Oct. 29 by Tahlequah police. Aaron Lingbeck was given a $25,000 bond, and Tina Lingbeck was given a $15,000 bond, court records show. Both were released on their bonds and are due back in Cherokee County District Court Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. for an initial appearance.
All three felony charges are punishable by up to life in prison and fines of $500 to $5,000.
