TAHLEQUAH —
Two felony counts were filed Monday against a Tahlequah man arrested by police.
Jessie Megan Matthews, 23, is charged with second-degree burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property. The charges stem from a Feb. 22 burglary of the Trudy and Robert Mickel residence.
Matthews pleaded not guilty Tuesday afternoon before Associate District Judge Mark Dobbins.
Prosecutors allege a laptop computer and television were taken. Those items are the subject of the stolen property count.
The burglary count carries a possible penalty of two to seven years in prison.
The concealing stolen property count carries a possible five-year prison sentence or a year in the county jail and/or a fine of up to $500. Matthews is free on a $10,000 bond. He will next appear April 26 at 9 a.m. on Special District Judge Holli Wells’ felony sounding docket
