An Adair County man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-car crash on State Highway 51 Friday night.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Shaun Sisemore (sic), 31, of Stilwell, was driving his 1997 Chevrolet Lumina west on S.H. 51 near Stilwell at approximately 9:51 p.m., when the car left the roadway for unknown reasons, striking an embankment. The car rolled one time, coming to rest on the south side of the roadway. Sisemore, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle.
The crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Kane Wyatt of the Adair/Cherokee County detachment, and was assisted by OHP Trooper Joe Couch, Trooper Rodney Vick, and Trooper Joshua Lawson, also of the Adair/Cherokee County detachment, as well as the Stilwell Fire Department, Stilwell EMS, and the Adair County Sheriff’s Department.
