Airport Manager Greg Blish gave the Airport Advisory Board a brief report on the recent Balloonfest during the board’s monthly meeting.
The Illinois River BalloonFest has been held at the airport for the past several years. Blish said this year’s event was the smoothest he’s seen.
“It was a glowing success,” he said. “We had no problems.”
Blish also provided Dr. James Mahaney, board chairman, with a copy of the airport’s multiyear development plan prepared by LBR Inc., the current airport engineer.
In another matter, Blish said the credit card reader on the airport fuel system is working properly. He said 23 percent of the fuel sales are with cards and after hours.
No fuel sales figures were available for the meeting.
