Some Reasor’s executives moving to Tulsa office

TAHLEQUAH — Department directors for the Reasor’s home office are moving to a new location in Tulsa.

A number of readers called the Press Tuesday to say friends employed by the corporation told them of the move. Others said they had seen evidence themselves at the corporate office, corner of Choctaw and College.

The Daily Press confirmed, on background, that the department directors are moving to a former Albertson’s warehouse in Tulsa. The facility was most recently occupied by the Cherokee Nation.

The source indicated about half of the almost 100 home office employees would be making the move, but those working in accounting, pricing and sales, retail technology and information technology will remain in the Tahlequah office.

The Daily Press contacted the home office Tuesday for details. Neither CEO Jeff Reasor nor Amanda Russell, public information officer for the corporation, were in the office Tuesday, and the switchboard operater indicated they likely could not be reached due to the move. That employee said the new facility in Tulsa has not yet had its phone lines installed.

Reasor’s was established in 1963 by Jeff’s father, Larry, and the company has grown to include 17 stores throughout Northeast Oklahoma. Fourteen of the 17 are in or around Tulsa, including locations in Bixby, Broken Arrow, Catoosa, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs and Sapulpa.

Reasor’s was family owned until 2007, when it became an employee-owned company, and now has about 3,000 on staff.
