MULDROW – A Pocola man was admitted Thursday to a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital in critical condition after a single vehicle crash a mile north of Muldrow.
Brent Traylor, 29, suffered head and trunk injuries. Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports state he was headed south on a county road and lost control of the 1995 Nissan 300 ZX. It ran off the east side of the roadway and went airborne, coming to rest on the passenger side. The vehicle rolled once coming to rest on its wheels.
Traylor was ejected 12 feet from where the vehicle stopped. Speed is listed as the cause of the crash reported at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Traylor was not wearing a seat belt and the air bag deployed. The crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Sheldon Dobbs of the Sequoyah County detachment assisted by his field training trooper, OHP Trooper Shane Allen.
