‘Bull’ auditions set March 1-2
Auditions for Tahlequah Community Playhouse’s dinner-theater production of “Bull in a China Shop,” written by C.B. Gilford, directed by Michelle Widener, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, March, 1-2, 7 p.m. at Tahlequah Public Library.
The cast consists of three men, six mature women, and one younger woman. Technicians are also needed. Show dates are Fridays through Sundays, April 16-18, and 23-25.
The premise of the play is some sweet old ladies’ plan to attract the attention of the handsome detective who lives across the street by planning a genteel homicide with a cup of tea as the murder weapon.
TCP meets the last Tuesday of the month, at 6 p.m., at Tahlequah Public Library. This month the meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 23.
AuthorFest seeking writers
Last year’s Eastern Oklahoma AuthorFest was a huge success in Tahlequah, and this year, organizers hope the event will be even larger.
Plans call for workshops for people wanting to break into the writing field and a poetry contest for grade school students, among other fascinating possibilities.
Anyone who is interested in helping can e-mail EOAF@mail.org for more information and the times and dates of scheduled meetings.
