Goodrich grabs Big 12 honor

Kansas senior Angel Goodrich was named to the 2012-2013 Preseason All-Big 12 Team, as released by the league office in a vote of the conference’s head women’s basketball coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Goodrich is among 25 NCAA Division I women’s basketball student-athletes to be named to the 2012-2013 State Farm® Wade Trophy Watch List, which is presented annually to the NCAA Division I Player of the Year by the National Association of Girls and Women in Sport (NAGWS) and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

In addition to the Wade Watch List, Goodrich was also named to Lindy’s Preseason All-America Third Team. She led the nation last season in assists per game (7.4) and paced KU with 14.0 points per game as she guided the Jayhawks to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, their best postseason run since 1998. Goodrich also broke a Kansas and Big 12 Conference record, tallying 250 assists on the season.

Joining Goodrich on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team were Preseason Player of the Year Brittney Griner from Baylor, Odyssey Sims (Baylor), Chelsea Poppens (Iowa State) and Aaryn Ellenberg (Oklahoma).

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
