Smith scores 23 as Tulsa drops N. Kentucky

SAN DIEGO — Rashad Smith scored 23 points and Tulsa won its second straight game with Danny Manning as coach, defeating Northern Kentucky 76-56 Thursday night in the NUCDF Basketball Challenge.

Scottie Haralson added 10 points for the Golden Hurricane (2-0), who shot 59 percent from the field.

Nate Snodgrass scored 12 points for Northern Kentucky (0-2), which is in its first year as a Division I program.

Tulsa led 38-37 early in the second half when Smith took over. He hit two buckets and made 4 of 4 free throws sandwiched around a 3-pointer from Haralson as the Hurricane used an 11-2 run to go on top 49-39 with 13:21 left in the game. The Norse never got closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
