STILLWATER — Oklahoma State basketball signee Marcus Smart scored nine points and had five rebounds, six assists and four steals to help the USA U18 team beat Brazil 83-64 in the FIBA Americas U18 Championships in Brazil.
Smart started for the third consecutive game on Monday for the US team — which now advances to the medal round to play Argentina on Tuesday.
The winner of the USA-Argentina game will play the winner of the Canada-Brazil game for the gold medal.
Smart is an incoming freshman at OSU from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas.
