OSBI looking into 'suspicious' death

TAHLEQUAH — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into a "suspicious" death discovered Wednesday afternoon in Cherokee County.

Cherokee County sheriff's investigators requested assistance from the OSBI after Bradford Brooks, 56, was found dead outside of his home on West Cookson Bend Road.

A family member discovered Brooks' body.

According to a statement released from the OSBI, the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of Brooks' death, but agents are currently treating it as "suspicious."
