TAHLEQUAH — Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating a double homicide in Tahlequah.
Spokeswoman Jessica Brown said Tahlequah police officers were called to 106 Louellen, just off of College Avenue, Wednesday evening to conduct a welfare check.
When officers arrived, they could get no response from anyone inside, so police entered the home and found the bodies of a man and woman who had suffered "significant trauma" to their bodies. Brown said agents are working to get positive identifications, and to then notify next of kin.
Brown said agents are also looking for a few persons of interest who might have information, but couldn't release details at this time.
