A warrant has been issued in Cherokee County for a former football standout at Sequoyah.
Christian Littlehead, currently on the roster at Oklahoma State University, has been charged in Cherokee County with misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred during the early-morning hours of March 3.
Officials at Oklahoma State declined comment.
According to a report filed by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Littlehead punched Sara Watts in the face during a birthday party. Watts told deputies she and Littlehead were playing beer pong when they got into a verbal argument, resulting in Littlehead hitting her one time in the face after she accused him of cheating.
Watts also said she fell down after she was punched, scraped her knees and cut her hand. That’s when others stepped in to separate Watts and Littlehead, who then left the party.
