HULBERT — A Tulsa woman died early Thursday morning after the vehicle she was driving crashed and caught fire.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Mandy Alvarado, 32, was westbound on State Highway 51 about five miles west of Hulbert when her 2000 Chevrolet Venture van left the road, struck a gravel driveway and caught fire. Alvarado was reportedly unable to escape from the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
The OHP said the condition of Alvarado is unknown, and the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
